The National Institute of Health is a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research. In its laboratories, scientists investigate ways to prevent disease, determine causes, and develop treatments. NIH creates a means to collect and exchange information including the development of medical libraries and training of health information specialists.

MarChuk Construction Company Inc completed many projects at The National Institute of Health. Among these are Building 29A Plaza renovation, laboratory renovation in Building 18, Building 49B, and Building 10 Corridor, Building 9 HVAC and electrical upgrades, and Building 30 sub-basement office space renovation. Our most unusual project at the NIH involved waterproofing the entire Zebra Fish Laboratory at Building 49 to potentially be completely filled to conduct underwater experiments and research,
